Who We Are
David & Jen – Founders & Owners
While Jen was born in the area, David got here as fast as he could (when he was 13). They met in the '80s and got married in the '90s. David played for the Red Sox (nothing impressive, just the minor leagues), then spent 25 years in oil and gas, and we lived all over our great country. After time away from the Greater Houston area, we moved back in mid-2024 and settled near 1488 & 2978, so we're definitely local!
We're both active: Jen plays tennis, and David tries to complete an Ironman each year (not very quickly, mind you). Our daughter is in veterinary school, and our son recently graduated and is now a nuclear engineer.
Marissa – Our First Team Member
Marissa joins us from Colorado, where she was a Sales Associate at RNK Running and Walking and the Events & Social Media Coordinator for RUN to Change Lives. She was an active member of the running community in Castle Rock. Marissa is a NASM-certified personal trainer with specializations in Fitness Nutrition and Corrective Exercise.
Marissa is married to Shawn, and they have a son in college studying engineering, plus two spoiled pit bull mixes. In her spare time she enjoys reading, baking, cooking and wreath making. She was excited to join Bluebonnet because she loves helping people find the right shoes and gear to reach their goals.
Finding Marissa was amazing for Bluebonnet. The similarities between our families are uncanny: Shawn is a veterinarian, and our daughter is in veterinary school. Marissa's son is studying engineering, and our son is a nuclear engineer. And we're horrible at social media, while Marissa does it for a living! We're thrilled to have her on the team.
