About Us
David & Jen - the Founders & Owners
While Jen was born in the area, David got here as fast as he could (when he was 13). They met in the 80's, got married in the 90's and just celebrated 30 years together. David played for the Red Sox (nothing impressive, just minor leagues) and we lived all over our great country. After being away from the Greater Houston Area, we moved back in mid-2024 and settled near 1488 & 2978, so we are definitely local!
We're both active. Jen plays tennis and David tries to complete (not very quickly mind you) an Ironman each year. Our daughter is a veterinary student and our son a nuclear engineering major.
Marissa – the First Team Member
Marissa joins us from Colorado where she got experience as a Sales Associate at RNK Running and Walking and the Events & Social Media Coordinator for RUN to Change Lives.
Marissa was an active member in the running community in Castle Rock, Colorado. She is a NASM certified personal trainer with specializations in Fitness Nutrition and Corrective Exercise.
Marissa is married to Shawn and they have a teenage son as well as two spoiled pit bull mixes. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, cooking, and wreath making.
She was excited to join the Bluebonnet team because she loves helping people find the right shoes and gear to achieve their goals.
Finding Marissa was amazing for Bluebonnet. The similarities between our two families are uncanny. Shawn is a veterinarian; our daughter is in veterinary school; Marissa’s son
wants to go to Texas A&M for engineering, possibly nuclear; our son is a nuclear engineering major; we are horrible at social media, Marissa does it for a job! We were and are thrilled to have her join our team!
Montgomery County’s independent, locally owned running store!
We offer personal shoe fittings and a variety of accessories to support yourfitness effort, like hydration bottles and packs, nutrition gels and powders, injury prevention items and recovery tools, moisture wicking socks, and more!
